As part of the company’s CSR activities, the two successful ASA Foundation Programmes began last year to build awareness among children of the importance of sport in health, proper nutrition and vitamin C consumption.

Four secondary schools in Bandung each with 100 students and teachers joined an intensive series of training programmes and workshops which last from June 11, 2014 up to September 10, 2014 for both football and basketball using professional coaches.

According to Philip Cox, President Director of Takeda Indonesia, “The purpose of this roadshow is to empower the students.”

ASA – the Asian Soccer Academy applies coaching standards that have been developed in the UK in cooperation with world famous clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth. The best players emerging from ASA will be sent for trials at those clubs.
